1st Feeding

At her 4 month checkup the doctor gave us the go ahead to start feeding Hannah cereal. Yippee!! I realize that may not sound exciting, but it is when you spend 6 hours a day feeding her. So, I'm looking forward to supplementing with food. Anyway, last night we spoon fed her some cereal for the first time. As expected we made a mess, but we got some great facial expressions from her. It was pretty fun. Here's one picture we got that kind of shows the mess. She sneezed a few times and I think we got as much on us as she did on her bib. All-in-all it was pretty fun

That is great! Haha! I love it! I think food is so fun with little babies. It's a whole new world to explore! I hope she (and therefore you!) enjoys it!

Oh, this is a wonderful phase of babyhood!! They get to begin the real food! What fun!

After my first I delayed the introduction of solids for as long as possible. Kennedy was about 8 months old. It's such a hassle. Although with as much time as she spends nursing, this will hopefully make your life WAY easier. (By the way, it usually takes a couple of weeks before they really get the hang of it.)

Hey, sorry it took so long but I posted a couple of pictures. I didn't get as many good ones as I would have liked.

Looks like she REALLY enjoyed it. It's a very messy stage and I'm like Jan - I tend to delay it (but only until about 5 months, not 8). By the way, if you think they are going to sneeze or cough, you stick your hand in front of their mouth. Trust me, it's a LOT easier to wash you hand than figure out where everything went and it will save you from having to change your clothes! Good luck with solids. After they get it down it's fun to watch their reactions to new foods, especially cold things.
