Happy Easter
I meant to take more photos of the day, but it didn't happen. The girls woke up to their new Easter dresses and were very excited to wear them today.
Most of our festivities have taken place the past week, but we did have an Easter Egg Hunt with the other kids in the ward right after church. Here are a few pictures of it:
Somehow Hannah convinced the primary leaders to let her take off her sweater - I swear she and I have polar opposite body temperatures. However, I am pleased to note her farmers' tan is looking much less noticeable than it used it.

PInks
After the Hollywood Sign, we went for hot dogs at the infamous Pink's.
Here James is waiting in line:
And a picture of the girls with Pink's in the background. We were trying to keep them entertained while James waited in line.....so the nearest bus stop it was!
Here we are enjoying the food:
James and I each had a chili dog, so we decided to spare you seeing pictures of us eating!
The verdict: the hot dogs were nasty, but the environment was kind of fun. I'm glad we went once, but we won't be going back again. So, you didn't miss out on much Courtney!

Hollywood Hike
The other morning we had some time with James and decided to cross some things off of our bucket list. We started out with hiking the Hollywood Sign:
You end the 'hike' (really, just a walk at an incline - I don't feel quite right calling it a hike) above the Hollywood sign, so the best spot for taking pictures with the sign is at the beginning.
Some photographer kind of forgot about including the sign in the picture.
Luckily James was zoomed out, so you can kind of see the sign.
Hannah was pointing out the horses in a coral below:
Here James is giving Sofia a better view of the horses while scaring the heebie jeebies out of me:
But she didn't seem to mind:
Here's a shot of the view partway up:
And here's a view from the top. With me holding tightly on to Sofia so she doesn't jump off the edge like she wanted to.
When you get away from downtown LA really is beautiful. It's just hard to see when you're surrounded by a few million people.

Sack Races
We have these hideous pink pillowcases. I was about to get rid of them, but thought maybe the girls would have fun doing some 'potato sack' races with them.
Here's Sofia trying to regain her balance after a good spin.

More Please
We don't eat much yogurt around here, but I recently decided to try out the Greek yogurt that has been so popular. Here are Hannah and Sofia asking for more:
I daresay they liked it.

2 Year Update
Her birthday was a month ago, but I never really updated much about her.
She is very independent. Our most frequent conversation goes like this:
Sofia: I do it myself
......10 seconds of her working on something by herself....
Sofia: HELP!!!!
She is an early riser (5:00 -5:30ish) but is such a happy girl, especially that early in the morning. My favorite time of the day with her is after she gets out of bed she comes and sits on my lap to help me do some reading.
She sings to herself all the time. It's so fun to listen to.
She makes the FUNNIEST facial expressions. I haven't captured most of them on camera, but they are so funny to see.
She finally has enough hair to attempt a pony tail. Barely.
She is a fun, happy girl most of the time, but the past week or two she has become much more difficult - pushing, whining, hitting, intentionally doing the opposite of what you ask, etc....I think part of it is the age, but I'm nervous about her strong will.....I think we are in for a long ride. Good thing I'm already pregnant or #3 just might not have happened otherwise!!
